Manabu Ikeda

 And there is an other artist who is doing really well as creating a new style with the Japanese traditional style and the western style.
He "Manabu Ikeda" perfectly dance with the western technique and the Japanese one. Then, what unbelievable is that minute. Moreover, it's not only about the miniature, but also he precisely pictures so many stories on a piece.

Toru Ishii

 Lately, many Japanese young artists are using Japanese traditional styles and mixing it up with western tastes. And they've done well and got really good reputation. They are not only using old Japanese things, but using them with some other styles and ways and even creating innovative and new. These are sometimes cynical and positive. It's like a mirror which represents the era.

 Then, he "Toru Ishii" is the one of a kind of an artist who proves how to do it as one of answers.
He's absolutelly well done about combining the traditional stuff and the sense of the 21 century. His works are so ironic, however, these are still so humorous. We can find so much unique observations from them.

Improv Everywhere

 I don't have many BLOGs to check usually as daily basis. I've got just a few. Then, the one in the few is "ニューヨークの遊び方(How to play in N.Y.)" and I love it so much. Because, not only I love N.Y., but also I love its choices of themes. It has a massive of info, pics and hints for creativity.
From that BLOG, I've got to know a performance unit "Improv Everywhere". They perform improvising and what superb is to involve public. Also, what supreme is many people to get involved it.

 I just image that if it's in japan, how many people would love to get involved? Even, how long would the unit last? I totally couldn't imagine that many got involved and extend nothing. I don't know why I thought so, but... just thinking about Japanese mentality.
So, I searched on Internet about those kind of things, then I found it.
It's not actually Japanese made, but they are acting in Japan. They "Pirates of the Dotombori" seem me doing well.

 I'm absolutely amazed by the reaction of those whom got involved them. Some said, because it's in Osaka, Japan; Osaka is the MECCA of comedy. However, it's still wicked.

 Anyway. I love to see following videos, and, one day, one day I'd love to get involved.

Still Crazy

 After 311, one of the biggest earthquake hit in history, Japan got a lot of problems one after another. And these problems seem never solved. Especially, nuclear plants and radiation threats. However, "LIFE GOSE ON" anyway and people get used any pain somehow.

 A photographer, Taishi Hirokawa, has been taking photos of "nuclear plants" in Japan as the landscapes. Then, he published a book called "Still Crazy - nuclear power plants as seen in Japanese landscapes" in 1994.
Actually, building nuclear plant is a huge business for Japan as the top bland.
As he said, if it's really Japanese landscapes, we had to think it much more before it's too late to fix it. But, I think we still have time to do it and change it. I just reckon it at this time around the annual Japanese Remembrance Day and Hiroshima-Nagasaki.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque & Tokyo Camii

  I have massive of places I want to see whatever it is, wherever it is. One of them is "The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque" at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It looks so huge and seems marvellous inside. By Wikipedia, it has 82 domes and 4 high minarets in 17,000 m2 courtyard!! Wow!!
Moreover, what amazing is that more than 3,000 workers got involved to construct it.
545 million US dollars were spent. Yeahhh... money matters... but still enthusiasm matters as good way. The passion of building this is why I wanna go to feel.

 And even here. Tokyo. Tokyo has the biggest mosque in Japan which is "Tokyo Camii". "Tokyo Camii" is in one of the richest area in Tokyo and surrounded by residential district. You may experience some kind of strange feelings when you walk down the area and suddenly notice that quite large architecture. Its mosque is Turkish therefore it also is as Turkish culture centre.

 Whatever the country is, wherever people comes from and whatever people believes, passion create amazement you never see before.

Yokohama Triennale

 "Yokohama Triennale" is just around the corner; from 6th August to 6th November. Last year, Nagoya held quite huge one as the event and areas, then comparing Nagoya and Yokohama, Yokohama's one looks smaller as the both of the event and areas. The LOGO

 I putted my site's "LOGO" on a top of this site finally. I really wanted it and tried to make it, then I did. It stands for "WORDSWORKS"'s double "W" and the "EARTH" as a part of the "W". I guess I did better job than I expected.

 

US FROM WITH LOVE

 "THEY" are a designer's unit, and now it's a studio, at Stockholm. They mainly design daily objects, furniture and lighting.
Their products are, off-course, so sophisticated and masculine. Because they are guy's trio? I don't think so. I think their spirits. I feel some kind of "GARAGE PUNK BAND"'s spirits from them. I mean, they are enjoying creations with each other and, i guess, fighting each other. And moreover, their passions, those can directly grab us. So that's why I love them.

After few months, they were on Japanese TV program, we can buy their products in Japan.
I don't know the situation about their products around the world, however I think their products take over all around the world.
