And there is an other artist who is doing really well as creating a new style with the Japanese traditional style and the western style.
He "Manabu Ikeda" perfectly dance with the western technique and the Japanese one. Then, what unbelievable is that minute. Moreover, it's not only about the miniature, but also he precisely pictures so many stories on a piece.
If you are interested in it, you'd better find an opportunity to see his works somewhere, because these are real deals.

Toru Ishii
Lately, many Japanese young artists are using Japanese traditional styles and mixing it up with western tastes. And they've done well and got really good reputation. They are not only using old Japanese things, but using them with some other styles and ways and even creating innovative and new. These are sometimes cynical and positive. It's like a mirror which represents the era. Then, he "Toru Ishii" is the one of a kind of an artist who proves how to do it as one of answers.
He's absolutelly well done about combining the traditional stuff and the sense of the 21 century. His works are so ironic, however, these are still so humorous. We can find so much unique observations from them.
If you are in Tokyo now, you can see his works at Tokyo Opera City. Check them out and enjoy.

iida "INFOBAR A01"
“iida”, which is Japanese phone brand, has newly provided their first-ever smartphone “INFOBAR A01” which designed by Naoto Fukasawa. He is commercial now, so some likes him but some others not. And whether I like him or not, I like the smartphone. As its look, it totally is a expansion of the “INFOBAR” series. However, it has a cool interface on its screen.
You know, there are a massive of iPhone-like smartphones around the world as the looks and the interfaces. Yeah, actually, you can still say the same on this one… but it’s still quite well designed and combination between the look and the interface. I really want it, but I can’t. Because, here in Japan, we don’t have a “SIM lock free” system and even I don’t wanna change my carrier, so.. Shame on you Japanese telephone companies!!Official iida's "INFOBAR A01" video.
