NEW "New National Stadium Japan"

images of NEW New National Stadium Japan
Is this all for no-one-knows Tokyo Olympic? This past 15th November, 2012, a winner revealed and the winner was Zaha Hadid who won an international design competition of re-newed "New National Stadium Japan" from 46 pieces. London based architecture office designed the stadium with a insect like shape roof-top and modern stylish curvy forme. Tadao Ando, who is a world famous architect and the chief juror, commented a reason of its crown with applause.
From July, 2014, current stadium will be demolished then the new one will be constructed starting from October, 2015, and March, 2019, which is the completing date with approximate total cost 130,000,000,000 yen (13 billion U.S. dollars). Wow! Gigantic amount of money will spend for the unsettled event such as 2020 Olimpics. Despite hosting the 2019 Rugby World-Cup, the original plan was "renewal" nor it's almost fully rebuild. I just hope some legacy of the stadium remains somehow.
Anyway, actually the winning design is astonishing!! I love it.

Birdie -ear pick-

I love ear-cleaning with ear pick, which is really popular in Japan. Doing it is really feeling so relaxed. So, wherever I go, I always prepare for doing it. At outside I use a cotton-swab, and at home I use a traditional bamboo-ear pick that is really good to use and moreover it's practical.
"Birdie" is self-standing ear pick designed by Japanese designer "Noriko Hashido". Yes, it is standing by its own and looks like a bird, that's the reason why it's called "Birdie". It's so cool and cute. More than that, important thing is its usability. Honestly, It works well!! The grip is suitable to a hand and the texture is not soft but not hard for doing ear pick. I totally love it all of a sudden and completely happy with it.

The New Routemaster

Changes always happen all of a sudden whether you believe in immortality or not.
On 27th February, 2012, finally the new bus has been launched on the London streets with its one week delay. It's designed by Thomas Heatherwick who is architect and designer.  In spite of a hybrid engine that the bus has, the design is quite controversial. Actually I got my first glance on a picture of it, I thought it's a Japanese action hero like. lol. However, after checking more pictures, I little bit changed my aspect on it. Now, I think it's quite cool as the design. It's still a double-decker, has wide range doors, signs are legible and also still red!!
London, now seemingly has been proceeding to set up the Olympics. The Olympics symbol is on the River Thames, the town re-installs its infrastructures, of-course the bus too. I really don't care the Olympics and am not interested in it, but I want to go London for just getting on the bus.
Here in Tokyo, Japan, there is not a bus like London's. Most of it is dull, grayish coloured, single deck bus. Actually, as the engines and technologies are high quality, and for ecology these are well designed. However the outward is not usually playful,  humorous and enjoyable. That's sad especially for tourists, because there is no fun when you get on a bus for strolling around whether you like Tokyo or not.
I'm just wondering that I went to London and Japan had enjoyable bus.

Yokohama Triennale

"Yokohama Triennale" is just around the corner; from 6th August to 6th November. Last year, Nagoya held quite huge one as the event and areas, then comparing Nagoya and Yokohama, Yokohama's one looks smaller as the both of the event and areas. However, contents of it seems really suitable for the theme. Here is a list of entrees.

"Brotzeit" by Postler Ferguson

I love to get on a plane. Because, it makes me feeling excited and feeling I go traveling. Then, if I was served by this catering food, I'd love flying much more than before. Actually, this is so cool and makes a journey memorable with smile.

I want as many airlines as possible to use it... or I want it as my lunch box;)

US FROM WITH LOVE

"THEY" are a designer's unit, and now it's a studio, at Stockholm. They mainly design daily objects, furniture and lighting.
Their products are, off-course, so sophisticated and masculine. Because they are guy's trio? I don't think so. I think their spirits. I feel some kind of "GARAGE PUNK BAND"'s spirits from them. I mean, they are enjoying creations with each other and, i guess, fighting each other. And moreover, their passions, those can directly grab us. So that's why I love them.

After few months, they were on Japanese TV program, we can buy their products in Japan.
I don't know the situation about their products around the world, however I think their products take over all around the world.

iida "INFOBAR A01"

“iida”, which is Japanese phone brand, has newly provided their first-ever smartphone “INFOBAR A01” which designed by Naoto Fukasawa. He is commercial now, so some likes him but some others not. And whether I like him or not, I like the smartphone. As its look, it totally is a expansion of the “INFOBAR” series. However, it has a cool interface on its screen.
You know, there are a massive of iPhone-like smartphones around the world as the looks and the interfaces. Yeah, actually, you can still say the same on this one… but it’s still quite well designed and combination between the look and the interface. I really want it, but I can’t. Because, here in Japan, we don’t have a “SIM lock free” system and even I don’t wanna change my carrier, so.. Shame on you Japanese telephone companies!!
