quasimodo LIVE

This past Friday night was superb. Loud and deep sounds ate my heart, crazy beats slapped my brain, melodies shook my body and smiles made me smile at a music live event. Such talented, skilled, and beloved of music goddess music lovers created a dance hall with full of love.
"quasimodo" which is a jazz band, but majorly they are acknowledged as a nightclub jazz band. A quartet has a decade of career as professional musicians. Since their debut, they were struggling with the reputation, however after they signed with Blue-note, they changed a lot musically, and I guess mentally too. Therefore the reputation got more accurate that means they got their right reputation such as "one great Jazz band in the world".
I think simply to listen their music is easy to understand precisely what the band is. I wish everyone loves Japan owns one of the great Jazz band in the world.

NEW "New National Stadium Japan"

images of NEW New National Stadium Japan
Is this all for no-one-knows Tokyo Olympic? This past 15th November, 2012, a winner revealed and the winner was Zaha Hadid who won an international design competition of re-newed "New National Stadium Japan" from 46 pieces. London based architecture office designed the stadium with a insect like shape roof-top and modern stylish curvy forme. Tadao Ando, who is a world famous architect and the chief juror, commented a reason of its crown with applause.
From July, 2014, current stadium will be demolished then the new one will be constructed starting from October, 2015, and March, 2019, which is the completing date with approximate total cost 130,000,000,000 yen (13 billion U.S. dollars). Wow! Gigantic amount of money will spend for the unsettled event such as 2020 Olimpics. Despite hosting the 2019 Rugby World-Cup, the original plan was "renewal" nor it's almost fully rebuild. I just hope some legacy of the stadium remains somehow.
Anyway, actually the winning design is astonishing!! I love it.

The press defines "a situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged, characterised by a string of blunders and miscalculations".

Obamas

Just after the presidencial election 2012, Japan also affected its result. People in Japan really cared who'd got to be the president of United States of America, despite of exchange, FTA, national defense, China or any other problems. Mr. Barack Obama is beloved by many Japanese people whether he belongs to Democrats or Republicans, or even he took beautiful winnig speach or not. Maybe it's because a city has the same name as him "Obama" or quite famous comedian looks like him. I guess this also is a way to enjoy other country's election, isn't it?

These days there is a lot of news spreaded about Christmas events in Tokyo. At Omotesando Hills there's already started a Christmas illumination which collaborates with Disney last week.

And at Shinjuku Terrace City, which 888 meters vast area in-between Odakyu buildings, will hold Christmas illuminations from 14th November, 2012 to 17th February, 2013. This year's theme of Odakyu's is "Shooting Star". At the theme, 500 shooting star like illumination will be stored at the West gate of Shinjuku station and a "Shooting Star" motiffed Christmas tree will appear at Shinjuku Southern Terrace. Then there are more to come. At Mosaic slope the sealing will be decorated by 35 meter long 23 layered lighting curtains and at Odakyu Department store there will be shooting star lighting show on its windows. About 370,000 lights will be all around the area for amusing you all this Christmas time.

Megurogawa MInna No Illumi 2012

Last year's Meguro's illumination
These few years in Japan, Halloween is popular and celebrated everywhere. And just after it, everything quickly turns to Christmas.
Last year, a Christmas lighting newly started alongside of Meguro river and this year will be there too. It will start from 16th November to 25th December, 2012 with almost doubled its length like 1,500 meters long and also 213,200 cherry-blossom coloured LEDs for representing "Winter's Cherry-Blossom". However it's not only about that, it's with a trend-nizing idea. The idea is to use "Bio-diesel fuel" for its buttery. The fuel is made from used cocking oil collecting from home and restraints around the illumination area. It's energy version of local food movement. I really think it's great idea and want spreading this idea all over.
